Frequently Asked Questions

What lift do I need for 35-inch tires on a JL?

At minimum 2.5 inches with trimming, or a clean 3.5-inch lift. ICON Stage 2 or Stage 3 systems are built for 35s.

What is the difference between a spacer lift and a coilover lift?

Spacer lifts add height by stacking above the stock spring. Coilover systems replace the entire spring/shock assembly. Coilovers give better travel, tune-ability, and ride quality at higher cost.

Do I need new control arms after lifting my JL?

At 2.5 inches or more, adjustable control arms are strongly recommended to correct caster and pinion angle. Rock Krawler makes the best JL arms on Bullstrap.
